I have been airbrushing a lot lately in preparation for Halloween. I just finished a new piece on and posted it on my other site Grimvisions. While making it I wished for 2 things wider spray patterns, and finer lines. Can this be found in 1 airbrush?
I currently have 2 airbrushes:
- An Iwata Revolution BR. It can spray a hairline to 3/4″ spray pattern. This is a double action airbrush.
- I also have a Paasche Model H. This airbrush is a work horse, it will spray just about anything, is a breeze to clean and is cheap to buy, a great 1st airbrush, while it wont spray a hairline its great as an all around airbrush when detail isn’t needed. This is a single action airbrush.
After some reading and looking around it looks like what I may be after is the Iwata HP CH. It can spray fine hairlines to finely atomized background spray, along with an entire range of stippling effects.
Looks to be about $200.00 from Dixieart
